Trinity United Methodist Church holds 66th annual BBQ in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The aroma of slow-cooked BBQ filled the air as Trinity United Methodist Church held its 66th annual BBQ fundraiser on Thursday.

It’s a week-long event at the northwest Charlotte church to get the meat cooked and prepped. The Trinity UMC team has about 5,500 pounds of pork chopped and seasoned for Thursday.

It’s now the largest largest BBQ event in the area, after Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church announced last fall it was ending its fundraiser…
