Firefighters save iguana from Columbus house fire

COLUMBUS, Ohio — It’s normal for firefighters to rescue people, dogs and cats, but the Columbus Division of Fire had its hands full with another animal on Friday.

Crews were called to the 500 block of Linwood Avenue for a fire and CFD says they were able to get everyone out safely. That included people, dogs, a cat, a snake and even an iguana.

“It’s not every call where you go from grabbing leashes to carefully escorting reptiles, but our firefighters are ready for just about anything,” CFD said in a Facebook post…
