PA residents with disabilities can focus on building savings thanks to new program

Pennsylvania State Treasurer Stacy Garrity was in Erie on Friday to highlight a program designed to help people with disabilities save for their future.

The announcement comes as a local organization is now offering the program as an employee benefit.

Roundtable held to discuss future of in-home healthcare for PA residents

Executive Director of Community Resources for Independence Carl Berry was joined by Garrity to announce that the organization will begin offering Pennsylvania’s PA ABLE Savings Program as an employee benefit.

The program allows people with disabilities to save money tax-free without losing access to important benefits like Supplemental Security Income or Medicaid.
