The Gainesville City Commission voted unanimously March 5 to direct city staff to begin identifying $55,000 in funding to help alleviate Heartwood Soundstage’s financial strain.
With Commissioners Desmond Duncan-Walker and James Ingle absent, the remaining five commissioners voted in favor of a motion by Commissioner Cynthia Chestnut directing staff to return with options to meet Heartwood’s funding needs following a March 26 fiscal retreat.
