Fresno breaks ground on new affordable housing

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno broke ground Thursday on an affordable housing development.

Organizers hope the 28-unit development will “help address urgent housing needs for individuals and families who are unsheltered or at risk of becoming unsheltered.”

It will do so by providing supportive services through Skye’s the Limit Production Wellness Institute, including tenancy sustainment, life-skills coaching, leadership development, and wellness programming.

WCG Development, the firm leading the project, says the apartments on 510 E. Divisadero St. will be built using Kingsburg’s Starland Group’s “advanced panelized construction system.”…
