Mechanicsburg man pleads guilty after prosecutor drops 38 charges in DUI wrong-way highway crash

A Mechanicsburg man who injured several people during a high-speed chase on Route 15 last year while high on a component of marijuana pleaded guilty to some of the nearly 40 charges filed against him.

Fernando Luis Colon-Torres, 30, got high after inhaling tetrahydrocannabinol, known as THC, and drove to the Capital Car Wash in Lower Allen Township, police said. After he crashed his car into another, he sped off south in the northbound lane of Route 15, striking multiple vehicles over more than four miles until eventually he crashed into a Toyota, ending the chase.

He later punched an EMS worker in the face while they were trying to rescue him from the wreckage, police said…
