DECATUR, Ala. — North Alabama will get a taste of Scotland this March as the North Alabama Scottish Festival and Highland Games makes its debut at Point Mallard Park. The two-day celebration, set for March 14–15, 2026, will feature traditional Highland Games, live music, cultural displays, and family-friendly fun.
Festival organizers say the event will bring Scottish clans, world-class athletes, musicians, artisans, and culture enthusiasts together for a weekend that blends history, athletic competition, and entertainment. Highlights include the United States Eastern Women’s Championships, a premier Highland Games competition showcasing elite female athletes.
Attendees can expect the sights and sounds of Scotland, from the thunder of the caber toss to the stirring bagpipes, along with opportunities to explore heritage displays, enjoy live music and dance, and shop at a vendors’ market.
