Delta settles lawsuit with family of worker killed at TechOps facility in 2024

ATLANTA — Delta Airlines has settled a lawsuit involving the death of a maintenance worker that happened nearly two years ago.

In August 2024, two maintenance workers, 37-year-old Luis Aldarondo and 58-year-old Mirko Marweg, were killed in an incident at the airline’s TechOps facility at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, the company said. A third worker was seriously injured and hospitalized after the incident.

The family of one of the workers Aldarondo, filed a lawsuit against Delta, claiming negligence. The complaint alleged that he was exposed to hazards in the work environment, claiming Delta’s “breach of duty” led to his death…
