MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WSNN) — Police in Holmes Beach helped save a vulnerable pelican on Wednesday.
Marine officers spotted “Petey” in the water and acted quickly. They were able to catch him and keep him safe until wildlife experts could get there.
In a post on Facebook, Holmes Beach police nickname the pelican “Petey.”
