NORTHPORT, Fla. (WWSB) – A Northport man accused of running an illegal gambling house is scheduled for a hearing Thursday afternoon in Sarasota County.
Alex Jacobs was arrested last November following a raid on Headquarters Social, located on South Tamiami Trail in Northport. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Intelligence Unit and the Florida Gaming Control Commission seized more than 50 illegal slot machines during the operation.
The hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. in Sarasota County court…
