WILMINGTON, NC — Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo and five members of the city council plan to travel to Washington, DC later this month to attend a national conference for local government leaders.
According to a news release, the group will attend the National League of Cities Congressional City Conference scheduled for March 14–18. The event brings together mayors and city officials from across the country to discuss policy issues affecting municipalities and to meet with federal lawmakers and agencies.
