Irish eyes will be smiling in Worcester for the 44th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade, which typically runs for 90 minutes to two hours, will feature marching bands, floats, and community groups celebrating local culture and Irish traditions. It starts at noon and travels along Park Avenue in Worcester from Mill Street toward Highland Street.
According to The Shrewsbury Post, viewing areas are busiest on Park Avenue between Chandler and Highland near Elm Park. Organizers advise attendees to park on side streets and avoid blocking fire hydrants, driveways, or roadways. A shuttle service will operate from Doherty High School every 20 minutes between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., dropping off participants at Mill Swan School and returning them to the parade starting spot.
