RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WSAV) – On Thursday, a fire occurred at the Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain’s (MNAe) Battery System Assembly Plant 2 in Richmond Hill.
WSAV reached out for comment and received the following statement regarding the fire:
“On March 5, 2026, an incident involving a small, contained fire occurred at Mobis North America Electrified Powertrain’s (MNAe) Battery System Assembly Plant 2. The incident was quickly identified, and following MNAe safety protocols, immediate actions were taken to secure the area. All team members were safely evacuated and accounted for.
