FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) – Fairhope city leaders are searching for artists to create sculptures for two roundabouts that serve as gateways into the city — one near the airport at County Road 13 and County Road 32 and the other at the floral clock where Scenic 98, Veterans Drive and Triangle Drive converge.
The Eastern Shore Art Center Selection Committee is currently accepting a request for qualifications, or RFQ, from interested artists.
“Right now, we’re asking for qualifications from the artists,” said Dr. Lynn Yonge, chairman of the ESAC Selection Committee. “We want to find out what their background is. Can they deliver the kind of artwork that we need to have here and that’s got to be large in scale and of good creative quality?”
