Far East El Paso shooting: Police ID dead suspect and reveal ties with victim

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Police released the identity of the man they say shot and killed himself in Far East El Paso, following a shooting that also injured a woman after a family violence call on Wednesday morning.

According to the El Paso Police Department, at around 5:25 a.m., officers found the body of 37-year-old Andres Cervantes, who they believe shot himself, and also a 28-year-old woman– Cervantes’s sister-in-law– also shot but still alive.

This after police were called to the 14300 block of Armando Silva Drive, near Frank Castillo Park…
