BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Ochsner Baton Rouge confirmed the temporary closure of one of its facilities after a car crash caused a power outage Thursday.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said the power outage was caused by an elderly woman who backed her vehicle into the building. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials said impairment is not suspected, and the cause of the crash appears to be medical-related.
Chief Operating Officer Scott Mabry said there were no injuries, but Ochsner Health Center – Denham Springs will be closed until power is restored and damage is inspected.
