One dead, another injured after small plane crashes at Los Altos Golf Course

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One person was killed after a small plane crashed at the Los Altos Golf Course in Albuquerque Friday morning. New Mexico State Police say around 11:45 a.m., the single-engine Cessna 400 was attempting to make an emergency landing at the golf course when it crashed.

Police said there were two people inside the plane at the time of the crash. Both occupants were taken to The University of New Mexico Hospital. One person has been confirmed dead, and the other is in critical condition. A total of 12 Albuquerque Fire Rescue units responded to the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and is en route to assist with the investigation.

The City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department said the Los Altos Golf Course is closed until further notice and rain checks for future play will be issued…
