KEARNS, Utah (ABC4) — One person is critically injured after being struck by a vehicle near 5400 S and 4600 W in Kearns on Wednesday evening.
According to Unified Police Department (UPD), they responded to reports of an accident between 5415 S and 5450 S and at 4600 W around 7:47p.m.. When they arrived on scene, they determined that the pedestrian was unconscious and not breathing.
Lieutenant Shane Manwaring, with UPD, says that preliminary investigation indicates that a white pickup truck was traveling eastbound on 5415 S when he struck a pedestrian who was wearing dark clothing.
The truck driver began to administer first aid to the pedestrian and when emergency personnel responded, they performed CPR on the pedestrian. They then transported him to the hospital, while performing CPR…
