Police in Eugene are warning residents about scammers selling fake gold jewelry in public places across the area.
According to the Eugene Police Department, at least three people in Eugene and Lane County, Oregon have been scammed over the past two weeks. Victims reported being approached by individuals offering what they claimed was genuine gold jewelry.
Investigators say the suspects are traveling in an SUV and include a man, a pregnant woman and two children. The man reportedly tells potential buyers he is from Dubai or Turkey while trying to convince them to buy the jewelry…
