HAUSER, Idaho — The Idaho Transportation Department has resumed construction on the Pleasant View Road Interchange on State Highway 53. This project, which paused for the winter, is expected to open for traffic later this summer.
Drivers will see changes in accessing SH-53 as new connections to the north side of the interchange are completed this spring. Minor detours and shifts in travel patterns are expected during this phase.
By late summer, SH-53 will be reconstructed to feature two lanes in each direction with a center median. One lane of traffic in each direction will generally remain open, but drivers should anticipate traffic shifts and periodic lane restrictions…
