Birmingham, Alabama — A former Alabama prosecutor is facing multiple attempted murder charges after authorities say she repeatedly laced her husband’s food with fentanyl in an alleged effort to kill him.
Sara Baker, 75, was indicted by a grand jury on 11 criminal counts, including conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, domestic violence, and elder abuse.
According to court records obtained by media outlets, prosecutors allege Baker attempted to poison her husband, James Doyle Baker, on multiple occasions during 2025.
