Bullets Tear Through Northeast Charlotte Home, Leave 16-Year-Old Seriously Hurt

Yesterday, Barvas Street in northeast Charlotte was shattered when someone opened fire on a home, leaving a 16-year-old boy seriously wounded and a neighborhood on edge. Emergency crews rushed the teen to a hospital, where medics described his injuries as serious. Residents said the rapid bursts of gunfire followed by a heavy police response rattled the block and kept many neighbors outside, watching from their porches and driveways.

According to WCNC Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called to the Barvas Street home yesterday for reports of shots fired and found the wounded juvenile inside.
