BATAVIA, Ohio (WKRC) – A Clermont County jury convicted a man of burning down his home for the insurance money. Asa Dawson faces up to 40 years in prison when he’s sentenced.
The home belonging to Asa and Kaitlyn Dawson burned down on Sept. 20, 2022. The home of the Dawsons’ elderly neighbors was also damaged. One of those neighbors uses a wheelchair.
Investigators determined accelerants were used to intentionally set fire to the home on Vista Lake Drive.
