HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Diana Moers has announced that she will not be filing charges against the Evansville Police Officer who was involved in an on-duty shooting that resulted in the death of Everett Nunn.
According to Moers, after a thorough review of the evidence, with particular focus on the body camera footage and 911 dispatch information, she found that Officer Helfert acted reasonably and did not violate any laws of the state of Indiana regarding the use of force. Moers says no criminal charges will be filed against any of the police officers involved.
