MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The woman at the center of an alleged swimming pool scam appeared in court Friday morning.
Ashley Claypool and her husband are accused of scamming thousands out of clients. Out on a $30,000 bond, Claypool stood before Judge Lee Coffee for less than two minutes.
She was booked into jail earlier this week in connection with a September 2025 indictment that accuses her of stealing up to $60,000 from a couple.
In August of last year, Your News Leader spoke to several victims who say Ashley and her husband Evan Claypool, the owners of Premier Pools and Spas Memphis, are responsible for unfinished pool projects that left them with significant financial losses.
