A 911 caller told authorities on Friday morning that he would explode bombs at Windsor High School if he wasn’t paid $10,000, officials said.
The threat prompted a lockdown and large police presence at the school, as multiple agencies sent officers, police dogs and drones to search the campus and surrounding area, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.The sheriff’s office said officers responded to the bomb threat at about 11:51 a.m. after a person authorities described only as a male claimed he was sitting in a black car in the school parking lot with an explosive device.
