Maryland prosecutors will not file charges against the Cheverly police chief who fatally shot a man during a confrontation outside a Riverdale home last year, officials announced Friday.
Attorney General Anthony G. Brown said his office determined that Chief David Morris did not commit a crime under Maryland law in the Sept. 30, 2025, police-involved shooting in Riverdale, according to the Office of the Attorney General.
