Proposal filed to relocate 64 beds to new adult care home in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A proposal has been filed with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to relocate dozens of beds from an existing memory care facility to a new adult care home planned for Wilmington.

According to NCDHHS, New Hanover Opco II LLC and New Hanover Propco II LLC submitted a certificate of need application to move 64 beds from Castle Creek Memory Care to a proposed facility called The Landings of New Hanover.

The new adult care home would be built in Wilmington and is projected to cost about $12.9 million. If approved, the project is expected to be completed by October 2030…
