4 hospitalized after driver of van crashes into Chicago liquor store

The driver of a van crashed into a liquor store on Chicago’s West Side Thursday, sending four people to a local hospital, authorities said.

Around 12:40 p.m., a 54-year-old man driving a white Ford van drove through the front windows of L & J Food and Liquor on the 200 block of North Pulaski Road, at the intersection with West Lake Street adjacent to the Pulaski CTA Green Line station in the Garfield Park neighborhood.

The driver was headed eastbound on Lake Street when he crashed into a car driven by a 33-year-old woman heading southbound on Pulaski Road, authorities said. After striking the woman’s vehicle, the man driving the van then crashed through the front windows of the liquor store…
