Bond set for man previously charged in Jackson mass shooting

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Bond has been set for a man who was previously charged in connection to the mass shooting that followed the 2025 Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade and Festival.

Marquavius McLeod was arrested on February 4, 2026, for felon in possession of a firearm. According to court documents, McLeod received a $50,000 bond on March 5, 2026.

McLeod was ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitor for a period of six months from the date of his release.

McLeod and his brother, Michael, were not indicted in connection to the mass shooting. Hinds County Circuit Clerk Zack Wallace told WJTV 12 News that the brothers were on the no bill list that was filed on January 28, 2026.

McLeod was arrested on a gun charge after being released. His trial date on the new charge was set for July 13, 2026.
