AUSTIN (KXAN) — Less than a week after the worst mass shooting Austin has seen in six decades, one that is being investigated as a possible terrorist attack, we’re learning more about the nearly 20 people who were shot. Three of those people died.
Thursday, Austin police released a trove of videos — body camera footage, Halo cameras, 911 call audio and video from a car parked in a parking lot — which included video showing the gunman after he had parked his car, got out with a rifle, and can be seen shooting at a man running by.

George Davis told KXAN’s partners at NewsNation that the man in the video is him.
“I was able to escape that area and run to what I thought was safety but now that I’ve learned a little bit more from the police report and what’s coming out it seems that I was actually running towards the shooter, where he parking his car and the second video that you showed there with the AR-15, the AR rifle, was actually me getting shot so…learned that today and it was very very surprising to see that,” Davis said…
