A midday burst of gunfire rattled Milwaukee’s northwest side on Thursday, ending with two teenagers in handcuffs and, somehow, no one hit, according to police.
Officers rushed to the area near 90th and Villard shortly after 1:30 p.m. after reports of an exchange of shots. What police described as a “gun battle” quickly turned into an active investigation, with detectives working to piece together who did what and why.
According to FOX6 Milwaukee, citing the Milwaukee Police Department, officers arrested a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male and said no one was struck by the gunfire. Criminal charges in the case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, the station reported.
