OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man sought by Iowa authorities for failing to return to a work-release program was allegedly in the hospital after being shot while trying to rob another man now facing drug-dealing charges, according to police.
Zachary Russell “Tank Zilla” White, 25, was booked into Douglas County Corrections Thursday night. In court Friday morning, he was charged with robbery, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
The charges stem from an alleged robbery that took place Monday in a Walmart parking lot.
White was convicted of robbery in Pottawattamie County and assigned to the Council Bluffs Residential Correctional Facility. He failed to report back Feb. 27, per the Iowa Department of Corrections…
