ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A Rockford man faces charges in connection with a Homeland Security Investigations operation that brought SWAT vehicles to the area for a package containing machine-gun conversion devices, court documents say.
Gerardo G. Zamora, 19, is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm with no FOID, two counts of unlawful use of weapons (machine gun or automatic weapon) and possession with intent to deliver cannabis.
According to court documents, in Feb. 2026, HSI investigators identified and seized a package containing two firearm auto-switch devices being shipped to the 4700 block of Highcrest Road in Rockford under the name “Durk B”.
