Hoppers Celebrated With “Hoppers Day” Proclamation in Beaverton Ahead of Film’s Release

The city of Beaverton rolled out the red carpet for Hoppers on March 5, celebrating the upcoming animated adventure with a special proclamation ceremony and community event ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.

Held at the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, the celebration featured Piper Curda, who voices the film’s lead character Mabel, and Bobby Moynihan, the voice behind King George. During the event, Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty officially proclaimed March 5 as “Hoppers Day,” honoring the film’s themes of friendship, community, and respect for the natural world.

The gathering brought together students from local middle and high schools, community members, and several special guests connected to the film. Among them was Dr. Emily Fairfax, a researcher who served as the movie’s primary beaver consultant.
