For the second year in a row, Saucon Valley junior Carter Chunko advanced to the state final thanks to a bevy of back points in the third period of the semifinal.
In the semifinals of the PIAA Class 2A individual tournament at 127 pounds, Chunko turned Chestnut Ridge senior Dominic Deputy twice for four points each to earn an 8-0 major decision.
“Even over the past year, my top game has improved,” Chunko said. “I’ve implemented new stuff so I definitely feel really confident in those situations on top.”…
