Founder of farming nonprofit in Ypsilanti dies at 61

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – The death of a founder of a farming nonprofit in Ypsilanti has prompted an outpouring from leaders in the county.

Melvin Parson died Thursday, March 5, at the age of 61, according to a number of Washtenaw County leaders. It is unclear what caused his death.
