BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The historic Fox and Nile theaters are known for their performances and shows.
From comedy shows to tribute bands and even raves, there’s something always happening at either theater.
Here is what’s happening at the theaters in March:
32nd Annual Christian Youth Film Festival
Set for March 8 at the Fox Theater, the festival features short films made by Bakersfield junior high, high school and college students.
Cults & Classics: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Set for March 9 at the Fox, this Cults and Classics film features two showgirls who travel to Paris and are pursued by a detective hire by one of their rich fiancés.
The Black Jacket Symphony Presents: Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’
Set for March 13 at the Fox, the Black Jacket Symphony is set to recreate one of Pink Floyd’s albums in its entirety.
SHREK RAVE: St. Paddy’s Edition
Also set for March 13 at the Nile Theater, is the St. Patrick’s edition of the Shrek Rave.
Electric Elton – A Tribute to Elton John
On March 14, a tribute to Elton John is set to takeover the Fox Theater. The night is set to be full of Elton John’s hits like “Rocket Man,” “Benny & The Jets,” “Tiny Dancer” and more.
Heated Rivalry Night
On March 14 as well, at the Nile Theater, a Heated Rivalry dance party is set to take over the theater. The night is set to feature high-energy hits, a photo booth, giveaway and more.
Gabriel Iglesias: The 1976 Tour
Gabriel Iglesias is set to perform at the Fox Theater two nights in a row. The shows are scheduled for March 19 and March 20 at the theater.
La Mafia Epic Tour
On March 22, La Mafia is set to stop by the Fox Theater for their Epic Tour.
Cults & Classics: Boomerang
Set for March 23 at the Fox Theater, film “Boomerang” is set to be played during the Cults and Classics series. In this film, a womanizer meets his match.
