A Birmingham apartments owner is being told by the city to tear down all of their units in West End in the 100th Block of Cotton Ave. Southwest. The Vue @ Cotton Apartments are being called an “eyesore and public safety issue” by Mayor Randall Woodfin, and it seems local courts would agree.
“Let me be clear – if you own property in this city, you must take care of your property,” Woodfin wrote in a statement on Facebook. “We shouldn’t have to take people to court. But we will.”
The city’s Drug Nuisance Abatement Team (DNAT) took the owner to court after reaching out to them several times to take care of the issue with no luck…
