Lathrop residents question plan to remove crosswalks and stop signs

LATHROP, Calif. — Residents in Lathrop are pushing back against a city plan to remove stop signs and crosswalks at two intersections along River Islands Parkway, a change officials say is meant to improve safety.

With clear weather drawing people outside for walks over the weekend, residents said the neighborhood streets and sidewalks currently feel safe.
