Bedford County pedestrian killed in hit-and-run

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police is investigating a crash where a vehicle hit a pedestrian that resulted in a fatality.

The crash occurred Friday, March 6 at 12:29 a.m. on Waterlick Road, at Valleywood Drive in Bedford County, according to Virginia State Police (VSP).

VSP says a vehicle, believed to be a 2019 to 2021 Ford Expedition, was traveling east when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. The Ford then hit a mailbox, then hit a pedestrian. The vehicle did not stop at the scene to report the crash.
