WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Harry Wayne Casey, better known to most people as KC, the founder of the music group KC and the Sunshine Band, is bringing the group’s 2026 World Tour to Wilmington on March 15, with a concert at the Wilson Center.
“There’s 15 of us on stage, it’s definitely a production show,” Casey said about what fans can expect to see at the show. “And, we’re coming there to have a lot of fun. As I say, ‘Do a little dance, make a little love and get down tonight!’.”
Casey was just 24 years old when his band hit the top of the pop charts in August 1975 with Get Down Tonight, which was the second single released from the band’s second album, called KC and the Sunshine Band.…
