TO’HAJIILEE, N.M. (KRQE) — A suspect was taken into custody at about 1 p.m. after two officers were shot in To’hajiilee within the Navajo Nation on Friday, according to the Navajo Police Crownpoint District. The incident happened around 10:27 a.m. this morning. Police initially responded to reports of “two suspects carrying rifles.”
Both officers were taken to University of New Mexico Hospital. The officers are in stable condition.
The suspect was also injured and taken to the University of New Mexico Hospital. No other information has been released regarding the suspect in custody. Investigators are trying to confirm if there a second suspect involved, but say right now, there is no outstanding risk to the public…
