Pennsylvania distribution center’s closure to affect 400+ employees

SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A major retailer will soon be closing another one of its distribution centers in Pennsylvania, which will result in more than 400 layoffs.

abc27 news previously reported when Saks Global, which is the parent company for the luxury department store Saks Fifth Avenue, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on January 13, 2026, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
