COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A nearing front will bring a slightly better chance of isolated thunderstorms Sunday afternoon.
First Alert Headlines
- Approaching front brings chance of isolated storms Sunday.
- 80-degree temperatures continue into the start of the upcoming week.
- Looking ahead to a stronger cold front by late week.
First Alert Summary
Sunday’s forecast will feature unseasonably warm temperatures and a chance of rain. High temperatures are expected to peak in the lower 80s under a mainly cloudy sky. An approaching front to the west will bring in a chance of afternoon isolated showers or thunderstorms. The best chance of a gusty storm with wind and hail has shifted northward. Rain chances as a whole will diminish by late evening.
Considering this front will fizzle out before passing through the area, we’re expecting temperatures to stay well-above normal in the 80s through about the first half of the week. Another cold front is forecast to pass through by late Wednesday night into early Thursday. Rain will be likely ahead of the front before temperatures briefly cool down by the end of the week.
