Mostly dry through Monday, more storms possible mid-week

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Potentially strong to severe storms will persist this morning into the first part of the afternoon. The leading edge of the storms have pushed through southern Illinois and southwest Indiana leaving behind widespread rain.

However, the potential for a few strong to severe storms remains possible over western Kentucky through the late morning and early afternoon as the leading edge works its way south and eastward. The main hazards will be damaging wind gusts and possibly a brief tornado. The bulks of the showers and storms will push to the east of the Tri-State through the afternoon. A few more spotty showers will be possible this evening as the surface front passes overhead, then we will dry out and cool down overnight. Temperatures will drop into the lower 40s.

Sunday is looking fantastic! Expect partly cloudy skies in the morning before becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs will reach the low to mid 60s…
