NES approves $1M bill assistance donation for customers after major winter storm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — More than a month after severe winter weather left hundreds of thousands of customers without power, Nashville Electric Service announced it’s donating $1 million to NeedLink Nashville to expand financial assistance for those impacted by the storm.

According to NES, the program will provide temporary bill assistance to customers in need, but in order to receive the financial aid, you need to submit an application.

Officials said NeedLink manages both the application process and the distribution of funds, adding that the organization “helps residents meet basic needs in times of crisis by providing short-term assistance and connections to other resources.”…
