SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – There’s little doubt local first responders stay busy, but in a new report released by the Sarasota County Fire Department, we’re learning just how busy they really are.
In fiscal year 2025, the department received 67,504 calls. Of those calls, more than 80% were medical related, 10.4% were fire related, with 335 structure fires.
