The San Diego City Council voted 8-1 to place the “Empty Home Tax” on the June ballot. Voters in San Diego will now have the chance to place a tax on property owners who allow second homes to sit empty for a specified number of days per year. The author of the tax, District 9 Councilman Sean Elo-Rivera, joined “Good Morning San Diego” Friday to explain the details.
