Leesburg woman lands in jail after violent attack over missing cellphone

A Leesburg woman was arrested for battery after allegedly attacking her child’s father over a missing cellphone.

Emily Rose Reynolds, 26, began to argue with her child’s father about the whereabouts of her cellphone at 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

She left and came back to his residence at 8:30 p.m., when they started arguing over her phone again. During this spat, she punched him in the mouth several times and threw a Pepsi bottle at him, which hit him in the face. He sustained swelling and redness on the left side of his upper lip, the report said.

A resident of the home and family member of the victim advised that she did not see the altercation. But she was able to give law enforcement doorbell footage of that night. In it, Reynolds hit the victim in the face, causing his head to turn away, the report said…
